INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY AWARDS
A winner in each Creative Writing category will be announced for each age division and receive a custom award.
CREATIVE WRITER OF THE YEAR
Contestants who participate in three (3) or more different Creative Writer categories are eligible for Super Star Creative Writer of the Year. A contestant may compete in each category one (1) time. A contestant's top three (3) scores from all his/her entries will be used to determine the National Creative Writer of the Year. The highest scoring Star Creative Writer of the Year winner of all age divisions combined will win Creative Writer of the Year.
Creative Writing submissions are to be emailed to your director PRIOR to the live competition. All submissions should be family friendly and have no content with violence, sex, sexual orientation, political preferences, or vulgar or curse words. Submissions may be fictional or non-fictional. Submissions should be an original piece by the contestant and any words/works that belong to other people should be cited. Contestants are judged on Creativity and Content. Punctuation, correct spelling, and proper sentence/word structure will play a vital role of the Content score.
Your director will give you the Creative Writing entry deadline. If you are competing in the International Super Star competitions, entries should be emailed 30 days prior to the event to superstarcompetitions@gmail.com. Be sure to put your Name, Age Division, Category, and title of your Submission you are entering in the Subject Line.

PLAYS
A play script is a piece of writing written for the stage. Your child will learn the following facts about the play scripts they read, write and perform: A play script will include a list of characters (at the very beginning). It may be divided into acts which are then divided into scenes.
SONG LYRICS
Lyrics are words that make up a song, usually consisting of verses and choruses. The writer of lyrics is a lyricist.
SHORT STORY
A short story is an invented prose narrative shorter than a novel usually dealing with a few characters and aiming at unity of effect and often concentrating on the creation of mood rather than plot. Short stories should not exceed 750 words.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Graphic Design is the art or skill of combining text and pictures in advertisements, magazines, or books especially to produce a specific effect. There are several types of graphic design such as product design, branding design, print design, publishing design, and animation design. Website design is a form of Graphic Design, but you can enter that as a separate category. We have separated it from here because of the amount of time and work that is put into a website.
POETRY
Poetry is a form of literature that is a very personal form of expression. It helps a person to show expression and express imagery.
POWER POINT
The main purpose of Power point is to communicate with your audience. You can add pictures, graphics, text, and videos in your power point presentations. And we can use it for multipurpose such as business, education and household. Power points should not exceed 10 slides.
SHORT SKIT
A short skit is a brief, comic performance piece, typically of an informal nature, as for two or more actors. Skit should not exceed 2,000 words.
SPEECHES
Speech writing is the method of conveying a thought or message to a reader using the correct punctuation and expression. Speech writing isn't much different from any other form of narrative writing.
SCREEN PLAY
A screenplay, or script, is a written work by screenwriters for a film, television program, or video game. Screenplays can be original works or adaptations from existing pieces of writing. In them, the movement, actions, expression and dialogues of the characters are also narrated.
WEBSITE DESIGN
Web design refers to the design of websites that are displayed on the internet. It usually refers to the user experience aspects of website development rather than software development. Websites with templates may also be submitted for this project.
